The Disc Information area holds information about the current CD:
- Artist - The group, singer or composer.
- Title - Title of the CD.
- Genre - Category of music style.
- Recording Date - Date of recording or copyright date.
- Comment - Any additional relevant information about the CD.
These fields are filled in automatically when the CD information is downloaded from the internet (see Internet and Internet Options).
You can also manually enter or edit these fields.
The Disc Information is used to fill in the ID3 tags in MP3 files and to determine the paths and filenames for files you rip (see also Files Options).
As such, make sure these fields are set to your liking before you rip.
The Disc Information may be shown or hidden via the View Menu.
